Fantastic equipment and service!
Purchased the F20 from the store in Parafield, South Australia. Firstly, the service I received from Kieran was absolutely outstanding. Such a nice guy and also very very knowledgeable about not only the F20 but the whole range. Putting it together myself it took about 6 hours and was relatively uncomplicated, I used a ratchet and a shifter, you could probably shave a decent chunk of time off if you had a socket attachment for a drill/impact driver. Only negative from the whole experience was that the weight plate carriages for the cables were from another machine but this was rectified super quickly, they sent out a service team within a couple of business days and the guys took apart what needed to be taken apart on the machine and installed the correct parts for me without me needing to lift a finger, absolutely fantastic after sales support and has left me super happy. As for the machine itself, the smith machine feels gym quality. It isn’t counter-weighted which I like. You can fit plates with smaller holes or Olympic holes, you just need an Allen key to take off the Olympic plate holder. The cables are very smooth for a home machine, the guide beam for the weight carriage glides very smoothly, I did add some extra silicone-based lubricant but I am very impressed with it. Again, you can fit plates with smaller or Olympic holes on the weight carriage for the cables. Good selection of attachments come with the machine: a set of D handles, lat pulldown bar, straight curl bar, rope and an ankle strap. Overall I am very happy with the purchase, excellent bang for your buck.
Solid and well designed
Got to know this functional trainer over the last almost two months. The quality at this price point has surprised me. It's strong, doesn't wobble around, and the cable action is nice and smooth even with low weight. The best thing about it is how well they thought out the design. It's those small things, such as how they've placed the weight storage close to the cable system, makes a big deal of difference. With a 2:1 pulley ratio just make sure you have enough plates for heavy movements like seated cable row and lat pulldowns. Putting it together takes hours and possible to do alone like I did, though two people would be much better especially for getting the smith machine part on. That was tough.
