Half Racks
Save space and still lift heavy with a half rack from Flex Equipment. It’s a stable station for squats, presses and pulls, and it pairs easily with weight benches for bench presses and rows. Add dip handles, band pegs or plate storage to suit your training. Already using multi-functional trainers? A half rack gives you open bar space beside the cable station.
How do I choose the right half rack?
Match the footprint to your room and ceiling height, then look at the steel gauge and hole spacing for fine J-cup and spotter-arm adjustments. If you bench a lot, check that your bench and barbells fit properly inside the uprights. Plate storage and a pull up bar are handy everyday add-ons. For tight rooms, a wall-mounted rack keeps more floor clear.
Any setup and safety tips for barbell training on a half rack?
Face the J-cups out for squats and in for benching. Set spotter arms a touch below the bottom of your rep so they catch a miss without blocking the bar path. Centre the bench before unracking, walk the bar straight in and out, and avoid bouncing on the safeties. If the rack allows, bolt it down; if not, load the storage pegs to add stability.
