A true inspiration of the sport, Jordan’s impressive strength has seen him pull a big rig tow truck, 155-ton train and a Qantas Boeing 737! He still holds the record for the most weight carried by a human at an incredible 610kgs (1344.82lbs)!!
Jordan started out with Freestyle Wrestling at 13 years old, winning 2 National titles and 3 State Championships. This led to his career in Weightlifting at the age of 15. Scouted by the South Australian Weightlifting Association, asked to join and train at their institute. This being the start of his involvement in strength sport.
Competing in weightlifting from 2004, he then made the transition into Strongman in 2007. Although he had made the transition, he stayed involved with weightlifting and later secured his greatest achievement; winning gold at the 2017 Klokov Cup in Moscow. Making history in being the first Australian to win this title!
In 2007 he headed along to the South Australia’s Strongest Man under 105kg competition. Although he was only there to watch, he was talked into lifting. He placed 2nd overall! From there it was all go, winning regional and national competitions. The youngest Australian to turn Pro at just 21 years old.
With a love of supporting the next generation of lifters, he prides himself on being the best possible role model. A part of this is shifting his focus to helping charities and doing Circus Events. As he slowly steps back from competitive Strongman, he wants to give back to the people. He’s got a talent to lift heavy and entertain, if this can help a charity or someone less fortunate, he’ll selflessly do so. This being evident is his work with the Cancer Council, Variety Car Bash and Craniofacial Australia, helping raise money for these worthy causes and their research.
We’re proud and excited to support Jordan as an Armortech Sponsored Athlete, as he builds towards a huge finish to 2019 and a massive 2020. With plenty more shows, events, more phenomenal heavy pulls and World Records!
